Susan
Zelinsky
Bay
Area Theater Critics Circle Awards nominee, singer/songwriter/musician/actor
Susan Zelinsky, is "a knockout", says Don McConnel of
the Berkeley Voice. Robert Hurwitt of the SF Examiner calls her
a "bewitching, full throated nightingale." The San Francisco
Chronicle touts her talent saying, "...her voice blooms warmly...then
catches fire..." and calls her "spunky...!" Her
first CD, "Believe", ('00) received a "four star"
review from fans at cdbaby.com, and was the one of the top 20
listened to cds on radio MILO, (103.1 ), Belgium in 2000. One
fan enthused "(...it's a)very nice mix of songs from a singer
with a nice, light, distinctive sound and catchy hooks."
And another reviewer comments on her "catchy tunes, pretty
vocals," and says it's "A very enjoyable listen!"
Susan has placed several of her songs in movies, and she has starred
in three independent films. Susan has a featured role in the film
"Sweet November" ('01), with Keanu Reeves, and she continues
doing musical theater whenever her schedule permits, earning her
respect and rave reviews from her peers, critics, and audiences.
She has performed at The Fillmore, Great American Music Hall,
Slims, Bimbo's, Freight and Salvage, Sweetwater Saloon, and numerous
other Bay Area venues. Susan's naturalness on the stage and in
the studio reflect a confident young woman, who is playful and
avid about her art, ready to bring her music and acting to new
heights.
